The Jewish-controlled media and IQ

Since starting this web site, I’ve received several emails asking me about the Jewish over-representation in the media and the thesis advanced by Kevin McDonald that Jewish ethnocentricism is responsible for their domination of the elites of certain occupations.

I would like to address it, knowing that that I will probably be attacked and hated by some of the readers of this blog.

First let me say that I’m not Jewish, though the person who made me realistic about racial issues is. I have spent the last couple of years writing on racial realism (and almost never on Judaism) and now spend hours daily writing my blog on issues important to those who oppose anti-white racism. I hope those who disagree with me can do so without generating hostility.

In my response, I will try to give an intellectual response that absolutely does not resort to name-calling. I would hope that everyone who chooses to disagree will give me the courtesy of pointing out where I am wrong rather than calling me names and accusing me of things.

Here’s my issue with Kevin McDonald. Forget blacks and Jews. Imagine there are 2 groups and group one is much more successful than group two. GROUP ONE cites IQ differences. GROUP TWO ignores IQ differences and claims that the only way to achieve success is by purposely persecuting others.

Which group does Al Sharpton belong to? The second one. He refuses to recognize the Black-White IQ differences.

Where do race realists stand? In group one. We recognize that it is IQ that makes whites more successful than blacks everywhere from Paris to Zimbabwe.

Where does McDonald stand? He too is in group two. He believes that Jews are wealthy and dominate the media because of a purposeful strategy, not individual success of the high-IQ people.

So which is it, ethnocentricism or high IQ?

Other groups are just as liberal and just as ethnocentric as the Jews. Jewish ethnocentrism has nothing to do with Judaism, which naturally greatly effected Christianity, but more to do with the Jews’ Middle Eastern roots. Everyone in the Middle East is tribal.

Take Armenians for example. They also have made great efforts for their own lobby and pressured many politicians, most recently causing the US troubles with Turkey when the Congress recognized their genocide. There are actually several Armenian lobbying groups including http://www.anca.org, www.aadlc.org and www.armenpac.org.

Armenians are just as liberal as the Jews when they vote.

But who cares about them? Nobody. Why? They weren’t as successful at it as the Jews. Why? If all you need to succeed is ethnocentrism and a decent IQ (which they have), why didn’t they succeed? The answer is that their IQ is not higher than the general population so their success rate isn’t higher. Their ethnocentricism doesn’t concern anyone because you can’t count their successful individuals and complain about “disparate impact”.

But is ethnocentrism even necessary in combination with a higher IQ to achieve success? Those concerned with Jews say ‘yes’. But then why are Zimbabwean whites more successful than Zimbabwean blacks, even under Mugabe? Ethnocentrism? I highly doubt it. Race realists believe that Rhodesians succeeded where Zimbabweans failed because of their higher IQ.

High IQ alone is enough for individuals to rise to the top. Even without their ethnocentrism, high-IQ Jews would be in the same position where they are now.

Now let’s consider if the US would be in better shape had our media been dominated by non-Jewish whites. The first question we must ask is if the destructive, anti-Western pathologies are present in white countries without a significant a Jewish population now or in the last few centuries.

If the Jews are responsible for the anti-white pathologies in the US, one would not see the same exact thing in Spain, Finland or Norway.

Unfortunately, the anti-white fervor is even stronger there than in the US, complete with multiple amnesties for illegals just in the last few years and total surrender to Muslims. In fact, the idea that “Western cultural hegemony” must be destroyed was originally developed by a non-Jewish Italian Antonio Gramsci in the early 1920s.

This, more than anything, undermines the thesis that Jews are responsible for anti-white pathologies. If you conduct a scientific experiment with 10 ingredients, and you take out one of those (the Jews), but the result is the same, wouldn’t that suggest that this particular ingredient is not responsible for the reaction?

So then how do we square this with the fact that Jews tend to be liberal and have the power to promote their ideology?

To answer this we must ask if Jewish individuals are more leftist than non-Jews in the same position? Are professors of Sociology more liberal if they are Jewish than Gentile, for example?

All the evidence suggests that no, they are not.

Ian Jobling did a good job describing what he termed The Destructive Class. This class of people tends to be particularly anti-white and because of the jobs they have (journalism, teaching), they are particularly able to promote their viewpoints.

Were the Jews of the Destructive Class replaced with non-Jews, only the last names would look differently, but the ideology would remain, as is evidenced by the far-left radicalism of European media and academia that lacks a significant number of Jews, as well as the far-left tendencies of non-Jewish professors and journalists in the United States.

The Jews are just more likely to achieve the highly competitive positions as tenured professors and journalists for major media. Why is that? Kevin McDonald and Al Sharpton say that it’s due to their purposeful communal efforts. But if that were the case, why didn’t blacks come to dominate politics, media and education, even though they have been much more aggressive than Jews in wrest to take control of these and other fields. Clearly, ethnocentrism, no matter how intense, does not produce the desired results in the absence of ability.

Another factor that undermines the idea that Jewish ethnocentrism is responsible for their success is the breakdown of why some groups of Jews succeed and others do not. In one of my articles, I asked the question of why would IQ test-preparers favor some people over others, even within a particular race (the Japanese over Hawaiians, for example).

I must ask the same question here. If Judaism is a strategy to benefit the Jews, why are the Askhenazi more successful than the Sephardi? Why are Syrian Sephardic Jews more successful than Yemeni Sephardic Jews?

In fact, the most-successful Jews are the leftists who tend to be the least ethnocentric. The least economically-successful Jews in the U.S. are the ultra-orthodox, who are also the most ethnocentric.

So is it just a coincidence that the success of different groups of Jews correlates with their average IQ?

On an individual level, why would some Jews be favored over others? Common sense suggests that the “favored” would have to be well-connected.

So then how do explain that the largest media company in the world, Google, was “given” to a Jew named Sergei Brin and a half-Jew named Larry Page? They were just these two college kids without any influence or even minimal involvement in the Jewish community. Why were they “chosen”, pardon the pun? Or maybe they just succeeded on their own?

So the next question we must ask is whether Jews succeed just in destructive, leftist occupations, which would prove McDonald’s theory that they are a parasitic influence on the West.

Many people have written about the Jewish over-representation among Communist leaders in the early days of the Soviet Union. But Jews also dominated the most successful classes of post-Soviet, rugged capitalist Russia. Maybe Russian Jews were just able to out-compete Russian Slavs? Maybe Russian Slavs are having a hard time building their country because they face many of the same cultural problems as blacks: substance abuse (vodka instead of crack) and promiscuity among their women (blacks have the highest rate of AIDS, followed by the Russians).

Furthermore, the presence of Jews in the early Soviet governments did not prevent Moscow from criminalizing Zionism as a felony punishable by many years of imprisonment in Siberian gulags.

Leftist American Jews are also anti-Zionist. Many race realists like to cite Noel Ignatiev as if he’s the spokesman for the Jewish lobby. However, a quick review of his web site reveals that he not only believes in the abolition of the white race, but also of what he terms “the Jewish caste”. Not a word that he’s ever written has anything positive to say about Israel and his feelings towards the Jewish community are decidedly negative.

Many Islamist and openly anti-Semitic web sites love to cite Israel Shahak, another anti-Western Jewish intellectual who believed that Israel has no right to exist.

Another famous Jewish anti-white professor is Normal Finkelstein, who has written books arguing that Israel has no right to exist and attacking the Jewish community. Again, he never had a single positive word for the Jewish state or community.

Every anti-white Jewish intellectual I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with is also anti-Zionist and despises the Jewish community as much as he despises the white race and the United States.

How many of the “Jewish” leftists have ever gone to Israel or even to their local synagogue? These “Jews” seem to remember that they are Jewish only when it comes time to attack Israel.

Zionists call them “self-hating Jews”. If they really are self-hating, it would make sense that they would hate their white skin and their American citizenship.

It is, of course, true that Jews have been phenomenally successful on the far-left, but they have also been very successful on the right. The most well-known and probably best philosopher among race realists is Michael Levin. While some feel that American Renaissance invites Jews because they want to prove that they aren’t anti-Semitic, I think that the primary is that these are great speakers who have something useful and interesting to say. Inviting bad, stupid, boring speakers just because they are Jewish would destroy the organization, and I doubt Jared Taylor would want to risk that. Even if Mr. Taylor invited Rabbi Mayer Schiller only because he wanted to highlight rabbinic support for his views, something I strongly doubt, ask yourself this question: which priest or minister could he invite who speaks so prominently and so openly in mainstream media on the issues important to race realists? The Church has been among the most destructive influences in promoting anti-Western pathologies and demographic changes, far more so than religious Jewry.

On the immigration front, Dan Stein is the President of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and another Jew is their Media Director.

In economics, many Jews have become very prominent. In the mainstream, there is the moderately conservative former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. Slightly to the right of him is the Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman. In the libertarian right, there is Ayn Rand. In the Austrian school of economics, Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard are the superstars of their generations.

Jews were also instrumental in founding the New York Stock Exchange, hardly a bastion of liberalism.

In non-political fields, Jews won more Nobel Prizes in medicine and sciences than anyone else, even the much larger nations.

The American nuclear bomb was developed by the Manhattan Project, run by a Jew named Robert Oppenheimer and his mostly Jewish assistants, who built on the accomplishments of other Jews like Albert Einstein.

All that hardly seems like a way to undermine this country. In fact, the nuclear bomb and the New York Stock Exchange are more responsible than anything else for giving this country its status as a superpower.

We now see that Jews succeed across the board, not just on the anti-white left. They dominate the leftist media, but they also dominate medical, computer and military inventions. They are highly prominent on Wall Street, in science laboratories and in just about any field requiring high mental ability.

Blacks dominate the NBA and other occupations requiring a high level of physical skill. Jews dominate major media and other occupations requiring a high level of intellectual skill.

Could it be just their ability, that Jews succeed in the media, medicine, law, computers and sciences? Maybe they succeed for the same reason blacks succeed in sports?

And so we get back to the uncomfortable question of IQ differences. We like to cite black-white gaps as proof that discrimination is not the cause black failure. But are we brave and honest enough to admit that Jewish success might be due to their IQ?

In conclusion, I’d like to leave you with a quote from Fred Reed, a non-Jewish speaker at the last American Renaissance conference:

I get a steady rivulet of strange mail telling how horrible Jews are. Apparently there is no crime of which they are not guilty. I find myself wondering: How do they find the time to be so evil? Are they on amphetamines or something?

Yet still I get the strange mail. I have wondered why the weird hostility to Jews. It is weird. I loathe a lot of people, and constantly try to add to the list, but I’m not obsessive about it. People who worry about Jews are obsessive. It eats them up. They see Jews peeking from everywhere. When the New York Times, a Jewish paper, supported Bush’s war on Iraq, as did almost the whole country, it was on orders from Jerusalem. When the Times turned editorially against the war, as had almost the whole country, it was to Stab Our Boys in the Back. You know, the leftwing anti-American Jew media. Everything whatever is controlled by Jews, with malign purpose. Why?

Charles Murray, who isn’t, is the coauthor of The Bell Curve. Writing in Commentary, a Jewish magazine, he notes the following:

In IQ the average American Jew is at the 75th percentile. Six times as many Jews as others have an IQ of better than 140. The imbalance increases for still higher IQ’s. In 1954, on an IQ test given to all kids in the public schools of New York, of those scoring above 170, 24 of 28 were Jews. This is neither new nor debatable. Those who study such things, most of whom are not Jewish, have known it for decades. Writes Murray, “In the first half of the 20th century, despite pervasive and continuing social discrimination against Jews throughout the Western world, despite the retraction of legal rights, and despite the Holocaust, Jews won 14 percent of Nobel Prizes in literature, chemistry, physics, and medicine/physiology. In the second half of the 20th century, when Nobel Prizes began to be awarded to people from all over the world, that figure rose to 29 percent. So far, in the 21st century, it has been 32 percent. Jews constitute about two-tenths of one percent of the world’s population. You do the math.” Uh…yeah.

If you say on the web that Jews are smart, you get furious mail saying no they aren’t, no they aren’t, no…they…are NOT, in a rising scream. This leaves the writers in the interesting position of saying that Jews control publishing, television, the press, retail, wholesale, Hollywood, Wall Street, international banking, the research institutions, the schools, and the universities. But they aren’t very smart. (I forgot planetary motion. They control planetary motion.) (And watermelon futures. Never forget watermelon futures.)

In my experience of Jews, which is considerable, they aren’t just bright but, worse, they respect intelligence and scholarship, in anybody. If you speak three languages or play a good game of chess or made high scores on your GREs, they are likely to say, “Geez, that’s really good.” With Jews, being a nerd doesn’t carry the opprobrium it does elsewhere.

Being smart, they rise, especially in a brain-intensive civilization, and then seem to control things, and to an extent do, and the rest resent them. (Hitler detested Jews as a genetically inferior people who dominated German intellectual life.) It is easy to hate what you feel inferior to. This is why people who disliked the Russians hated the French, why people who merely dislike blacks hate Jews. It was impossible to feel inferior to Russians, who wore bad suits. Just as in the band-saw shriek of feminists, “We are too equal,” there is audible a fear that maybe they aren’t, in the anti-Semites insistence, “They did it by conspiring,” there is a worry that maybe they didn’t.
