From today’s AR List by RA Fonda: “They (Papuans) are even less human than Africans”
This is what I meant when I say that the list is an embarrassment. Clearly non-whites are human. In fact, one argument I avoided when leftists told me that human races are 98-99% alike is to point out that humans and chimps are 96% alike too. The reason I didn’t say is that it would make it sound like blacks are something less than human, something between whites and chimps.
Honda Accord and Toyota Camry may be 98% alike, and they may be 96% the same as a truck, but it doesn’t mean that Camry is half way there to being a truck. They are just different cars, with different advantages and disadvantages.
Likewise with blacks and whites. We win Nobel Prizes. They win marathons. But whether you like them or not, clearly they are human.
Even if you were to believe that they are inferior, they are still human. A Ford is inferior to a Ferrari, but both are still cars.
Look at genetics. We split from apes/monkeys millions and in some cases tens of millions of years ago. We split from blacks only 50,000 years ago, when our ancestors were already human.
Homo Erectus is over 1.5 million years old. Homo Sapiens are 200,000 years old.
Homo Sapiens lived in Africa (started out in East Africa) for 150,00 years before some left the continent. It would seem impossible that all the HS left and only the HE or even more primitive apes were left behind.
A more likely outcome is that HS in Africa killed off or just won the competition for food vs. the HE, as he had done elsewhere. It’s doubtful to me that the HE survived in large numbers for 150,000 years. I am sure there were some pockets of HEs, but they certainly didn’t dominate Africa 50,000 years ago.
So even if black progress over the last 50,000 years wasn’t as great as white progress, it doesn’t matter because even then, Africans were already homo sapiens.
What Fonda is writing is nothing but brainless hate. It has no purpose. You won’t convince anyone to become a race realist by saying that Africans and Papuans aren’t human because it’s not realism, it’s just idiocy. Comments like this just ridicule the whole movement.
AR is doing itself no favors by affiliating with people like that in its yahoo group. Serious research into IQ, crime, history, etc can bring people to our way of thinking.
Ridiculous name-calling will not.

Yeah, I like being on the side of rationality and science in all this. Blacks on average are less intelligent than whites, but anyone who uses that to try to conclude that any black person you meet will be intellectually inferior to you is just admitting that they are ignorant of statistics. At any given instant, it’s possible that the smartest person on the planet is black. It’s entirely possible to be white and meet an Asian who’s dumber than you even though Asians are smarter than whites on average. The statistics can’t tell us how a person is going to perform until we give them the opportunity. That’s why I believe in meritocracy for jobs and education (assuming a person can FIND any real education in this country). You open up the job and take the person who is best qualified regardless of race or gender.
The statistics become important when someone shouts “racism.” We can use the statistical data to determine if an institution has an anomalous percentage of any group based on average capacities and on local populations. Since we are working then with multiple individuals rather than just one, the statistics work really well. It’s funny that this is the one place some people don’t want us to use them.
I wonder why.
