I got a comment that includes most of the lies usually asserted by black supremacists about Ancient Egypt. Normally I just block them because they are clearly false and I don’t need to clutter this blog with “information” from web sites run by angry blacks from their government-sponsored apartments in the projects. But this one has most of the lies being told, so it’s worth reviewing to have a come back for the future.
Shiera,
Please stop reading Black Supremacist material only. I am honestly getting sick and tired of having to deal with people who are obsessed with whites and Jews, and back up themselves with sites run by some guy in his parents’ basement.
When you read conspiracy sites who pick and choose facts from one point of view only, along with “explanations” (making up facts), you can “learn” anything.
1. Do you really know the truth; or is the truth really being omitted, to continue to depict the caucasian race as the superior people of the world?
I never wrote anything about superiority.
2. “The same thing that is going on now has been going on for hundreds of years, the manipulation, brain-washing, lies and hidden truths, are unreal. Wiliie Lynch and Jim Crowe are good examples of manipulators.”
Lynch and Jim Crowe have nothing to do with this. I didn’t hang anyone from a tree, now did I?
3. “There are many aliens who come to America, live here and die here”
… and we should send all of them back to Mexico and Jamaica.
4. “The mummy you have displayed above, does not have blond hair, the hair is golden, some sort of dye used”
Even modern dye wears off after a few weeks or months at most. The idea that it would stay there for thousands of years is preposterous.
Additionally, many of these people were genetically tested. Ramses II was born with red hair. But science is racist, right?
5. “why are most of the mummies that are exhumed in Egypt of a dark complexion?”
They aren’t. Only those in southern Egypt are of mixed black-white racial origin. The north, the culturally dominant region, was white.
6. “If the baby Christ, his mother and Joseph were of caucasian descent, then how could they have hid a blond haired blue eyed baby amongst a black people”
King David had red hair. Jews also believe that Adam (Eve’s husband) was a redhead.
Red hair is connected to a gene that makes your skin lighter. Only white people have it.
Ancient Jews were probably more similar to Ashkenazi Jews than to the Sephardic Jews, who intermarried with Moslems.
So it was very to hide a white baby among white people. Where did you get blue eyes and blond hair? Are all whites blond and blue-eyed according to you?
7. “The bible clearly says that the garden of Egypt compassed the waters of Ethiopia”
I am not a Bible expert, but it’s a known fact that the Egyptian empire expanded to include foreign lands.
8. “I have researched for quite a few years, there are many hidden truths”
Reading black supremacist sites isn’t called research, it’s called reading propaganda.
9. “I am growing weary of the white race telling lies”
Yes, lies like DNA records, etc.
10. “When a white person invents something, it is broadcasted in school books, media, press, etc.; but when a black person invents something it is kept hush, hush.”
Just the opposite. Every little black invention is pumped up, but there just isn’t much to pump up.
11. “Black man by the name of Dr. Mark Dean invented the personal computer”
No, he didn’t. John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert did.
12. “If the ancient egyptians were of the caucasian race, then why would many of the paintings in the tombs be of people of color.”
Because they also painted slaves, just as Americans did in the 19th century.
Also because you think that anyone who isn’t blond/blue eyed must be black, as evidenced by your Jesus comment. You think that “Jesus wasn’t black” means he was blond/blue-eyed. So similarly, anyone with olive skin is seen as black by you. (Probably because all the mixed-race people in the US regard themselves as black, even if they are 7/8 white, which tells all you need to know about who benefits from racism like affirmative action.)
Egyptians had and still have olive skin, but that doesn’t make them black. Greeks have a similar skin color, and they too are white.
13. “The Sphinx, represents the ancient Egyptians, that is the reason why when Napoleon went to Africa and saw the incontrivertible negroid features”
Sphinx was a zoomorphic figure in Ancient Egypt, resembling an animal, and in this case, the animal-like God Sekhmet.
In any event, it didn’t have sub-Sarahan features, it had typical Egyptian features. I just googled “Egyptian man” and came up with this picture on the first page of images. If you look at eyes, nose, lips, it is similar enough to the Sphinx to conclude that the two are of the same background.
14. “the truth has been distorted and omitted, and lies have been told that the black pharaohs did not reign until the 25th dynasty; one of the biggest lies every told.”
Think about it rationally. The white man has many other great empires like the Romans, the Greeks, the French, the English, the Spanish, etc. If Egypt turns out to be non-white, who cares? But blacks have nothing. There are some regions that were conquered by a warlord, but you can’t compare their non-existent cultural contributions to the Roman or the English empires.
Whites have no reason to lie. Blacks do. Without Egypt, you have nothing. So you have to lie and claim that anyone with olive skin is black.
15. “No people of the caucasian race reigned in ancient Egypt until the 27th dynasty.”
Blacks with blond and red hair?
16. “I live in Brooklyn, NY and the Brooklyn museum has many statues of black Pharaohs that have irrefutable negroid features.”
I haven’t seen that. You just think that anyone who’s not blond/blue-eyed is black. Also, I don’t know the periods we are talking about (25 dynasty?) and which people (slaves?) were depicted.
17. “As I said before, I am aware of many untruths being told, but I will wait until my book is complete to reveal many, hidden truths.”
It sounds like there’s no doubt that your book will be used as a textbook in African-American studies. I mean it. You should try to get them to use it. I am sure they would be interested in this kind of crap.
And to put it perhaps even more simply?
I would be willing to wager that the same nations and peoples that were the ‘colonizers’ in the past would be the same ones colonizing today, while the same nations that were colonized in the past would most likely be colonized again today.
So the question would be (without shrieking racist) (not that I don’t enjoy the occasional content and sense free rant) what, other than racism could possibly explain this extraordinary fact?
Oh, and I meant to say: nice takedown, quick, easy to read and just the tiniest hint of snark to wash the whole thing down, cheers!
The real issue is not so much whether or not blacks built civilization four thousand years ago, but why blacks today can not run a modern state, as evidenced by the general basket-case nature of Africa.
“The bible clearly says that the garden of Egypt compassed the waters of Ethiopia”
“Ethiopia” was used as a general term for Africa way back when.
Californian,
The reason blacks are so upset about the claim that Egypt wasn’t black is that without it, it proves that they aren’t capable of building a civilization, now or before.
This is why blacks are more upset about Egypt than affirmative action and crime and everything else I write here. I get more hate mail on Egypt than all else combined. By a factor of 10.
I’ve run across those quacks before. They’re usually tied in with some kind of NOI or black hebrew cult. And practically every one of them idolizes Khallid Abdul Mohammed. In fact, you would be surprised at how popular this guy is among mainstream blacks. If you’ve never seen this video then get ready for a shock.
This is why blacks are more upset about Egypt than affirmative action and crime and everything else I write here. I get more hate mail on Egypt than all else combined. By a factor of 10.
Interesting.
It amazes me how blacks can obsess on stuff like this and yet ignore how their society is disintegrating today.
OK; lets admit that Watson and Crick were black, so was Einstein, so was Edison. Let’s declare that Shakespeare was black and that every meaningful invention, discovery or art in human history was of black origin.
This would change the black condition of today, how?
Would Detroit suddenly become the World’s most livable City? Would blacks suddenly become 20% of engineering degree freshman classes? Of course not.
Only when blacks drop the victim crap and embrace personal responsibility and work as individuals to improve their own lives (which some do) will they start to enjoy success.
Stop whining and start working.
Here we go again … The long, over extended debates about a topic that average “white guys” know nothing about. All they know is what is handed to them via His-story. Not realizing nor analyzing, that this nonsense called education is handed down to them in order to keep them in check and make sure that they don’t branch out and discover true knowledge for themselves. Some things never change.
But every now and then, I like to participate in a silly debate against the unknowing to keep my mental tools sharp. It’s like Mike Tyson going rounds with Pee-Wee Herman, with Pee-Wee saying: Hey, I won those rounds, even when the evidence shows otherwise.
Let’s start with: Three basic facts in a nut shell:
First: The original Egyptians were as black as the Ace of Spade. Not because I want them to be but because that’s what the earliest depictions show. Any school child can see that the Sphinx is a Black face with full lips, jaw prognathus (you may wanna look that one up) and a wide noise. Legend has it that a jealous European general had the noise shot off. Nevertheless, those are basic facial features of many Black people. The same can be seen in the likes of: Djoser, Khufu, Amenhotep, Rameses, Tutankhamen, Thutmoses, Queen Tiye, Akhenaten (Amenhotep IV) and a host of other Kings and Queens (who are also depicted I mind you) but are much too numerous to name here. But as I stated earlier: Even a school child can see this because children are honest and don’t have much interest in living a lie or living in denial for their own cultural and political gain. A lesson to be embraced by the historically and spiritually deprived.
Second: The Ancient Egyptians themselves tell you where they came from when they stated: We come from the valley at the mountain of the moon. That is known as Kilimanjaro my friends … That’s right in Africa. And speaking of the African interior, lets talk about Ancient Nubia and the Nubians. Some studies show that the pyramid building in Ancient Nubia is older than that of Egypt and there are just as many pyramids there as in Egypt. Yes, that means exactly what your thinking, if you are thinking at all. That the technology of Ancient Egypt could have very possibly moved from the South to the North. Or maybe at one point, Egypt and Nubia were one Nation under a Groove.
Third: Today’s Egyptians are basically the descendants of the Arab Muslims, in other words: They were implanted into Egypt from the Middle East. Arabia and Ancient Egypt are two very different cultures. For starters their worship of God is different. The Arab Muslims worship Allah while the Ancient Egyptians had their own way of worshiping. I’ll give you a hint: They worshiped a main God along with a host of deities. You won’t find a lot of that (if any) in traditional Islam. One of the first things the Arabs did when in Egypt was strip the outer casing of the pyramids to build their own places of worship. If they were original Egyptians, the present places of worship would have suited them just fine.
With that said, Hopefully this will give you some basic insight into who the Egyptians were. Or, maybe it will inspire you to pick up knowledge from places other than the usual ones.
Carry On,
The Moor
most of you are lost in a debate that has absolutely no relevance today.
let’s start with two hypotheticals”
1) pretent for the sake of debate that the revisionist-history ‘beethoveen was a black man’ crowd was right — an outrageous conceit if there ever was one —- and then let’s pretend that they weren’t; that indeed, all the great historical achievements were accomplished by those with less melanin.
the point is, even if back then, when people of different physical characteristics were separated by vast oceans and rough geographical terrain, different looking people accomplished greatly different levels of achievement. the black people — my people — were less accomplished, let’s imagine; maybe we didn’t have a written language to record our achievements or lack thereof, maybe mr. caucasian was superior, in the sense of the word we commonly use it.
but nowadays, since we can traverse those fearsome oceans, deserts, mountains, etc., what does it really matter. does your slight genetic difference in terms of melanin distribution provide you with an advantage in today’s world? if you think you are superior intellectually because of your race, then you’re mistaken — and i don’t really care if you’re the recipient of ancestral advantage. history is recorded subjectively — you notice i don’t see with a ’subjective agenda’ or ‘conspiracy’, but simply subjectively. i’m sure, if it was recorded in writing or some other form, certain sub-saharan african achievements or, better term, distinctions, existed that would be worth certain bragging rights today. who cares. what most of you here say is stupid and the equivalent of if i were to say to you: ” i don’t know you, but i’m likely a better golfer and basketball player than you becaues tiger woods and michael jordan have a skin tone closer to mine than yours.”
yes, status-hungry, esteem-seeking african-americans who get suckered into these silly debates are laughable — but you race-history-classicists are silly for reacting to another group’s understandable-but-silly defensiveness in such a personal and annoyed way!
and btw: running some near-illiterate nonsense by khalid muhammad DOES NOT accurately convey the general african-american view of africans version of historic and sociological development; his view is less popular or even acknowledged among blacks than is david duke’s among whites. very shoddy inference on your part…
nikcrit writes:
“if you think you are superior intellectually because of your race, then you’re mistaken”
At an individual level, there can be West African Black
geniuses and retarded Ashkenazi Jews, so of course at that
level it makes no sense. So you may be a Black man who is
my intellectual superior. However, when viewed through the
lens of statistics each race has a different set of capabilities
and inclinations. IQ, or “g”, is one of those capabilities, and
on average Black Africans have less of it. The issue isn’t
melanin, since Indian Parsis and high caste Hindus are dark
and have pretty high IQs. Han Chinese, Japanese and
Koreans aren’t White, but they have high average IQs too.
The reason some of us Whites are keen to discuss this is
that we’re accused of unfairly discriminating against
Blacks (“racism”) even when we bend over backwards to
be fair and impartial. I think that on average Blacks have a
lower IQ, and are more prone to crime, than Whites. That
doesn’t mean that I think YOU individually are, but I use
that knowledge about Blacks all the time. One of the false
accusations from Blacks is “history stealing”. You may
think it silly for reacting, but I’d rather see all of the
arguments and try to figure out what the truth is. I doubt
that the Egyptians or Greeks were Nordic (yeah, I’ve read
the analogous White pages to these Black ones) but the
evidence is strong that they were for the most part
Caucasoid.
ok, animus,
i think i follow you. and it’s nice to see a reply that contains reason and lacks any bald or even thinly veiled animosity.
But to your point about general underperformance on IQ among large samples of different racial groups, i’d have to say those different levels of performance are almost certainly true, but probably attributable to: first, the economic and psychological consequences of the african-american predicament historically (the obstacles and self-defeating behavior that invariably comes about from centuries of legal racism and intentional cultural and economic underdevelopment); and, second, the core issue of culturally biased test content on so-called intelligence-quotient tests — (i hate to sound like some rookie grad student getting ‘politically correct,’ but undoubtedly, there is some ethnocentric bias inherent in creating intelligence-measuring test content and criteria. Along these lines, i’m sure Asians and certain other minority groups perform categorically lower on certain intelligence-measuring tests, which i understand come for the most part out of the judeao-christian, European academic tradition; indeed, the question becomes, how does one come up with a test that cuts across all language and cultural barriers and differences?
personally, i blame it all equally on the sorbonne, cambridge and oxford (rimshot!)
one more thing to Animus,
about your last point: yes, i do see a lot of minorities get defensive, or even hostile, toward certain white people and officials, accusing them of racism when they’re intentions are actually quite good and sometimes even noble.
i’ve witnessed this in academic and professional situations and have cringed several times upon seeing it. and yes, i can only imagine how fed up i might become if such misguided anger and frustration was directed at me, nikcrit.
nikcrit writes:
“But to your point about general underperformance on IQ among large samples of different racial groups, i’d have to say those different levels of performance are almost certainly true, but probably attributable to: first, the economic and psychological consequences of the african-american predicament historically”
Doubtful, given that we have counterexamples of groups
historically discriminated against who have very high IQs.
In fact, in at least one case, those high IQs are probably in
some part due to that discrimination.
We also have the counterexamples of low indigenous African
IQ and low Haitian IQ. All “on average”, of course, I admit
that there are Haitian geniuses. I don’t have to keep saying
that I hope; if I refer to “low Black IQ” I am referring to
an average and not individuals.
“and, second, the core issue of culturally biased test content on so-called intelligence-quotient tests”
Nope, those tests aren’t biased. Please do some research
on this topic. If they were, then the Whites who developed
these tests are Yellow Supremacists, since East Asians do
quite well on these tests. Those IQ tests are exactly the
non biased tests that you seek.
I accept that there are non genetic, or cultural,
components to IQ tests that may hurt Blacks, but I doubt
it accounts for much of the difference. There have been
numerous studies that show that.
Out of curiosity, nikcrit, for the past four summer
Olympics, the top 16 or so 100m sprint competitors
have been entirely (or overwhelmingly) of West African
ancestry. Is that genetic, or cultural?
No, I don’t hold animosity towards Blacks in general, but
.
I’m quite miffed about the belligerent attitude of Blacks
in general (observed up close and personal) towards this
nations’ majority, and the compulsion to blame Black
failure on White malice. I’d be happy to separate the country into regions, so Blacks wouldn’t have to suffer
from this racism any more
Another alternative I’ve proposed is far more aggressive
punishment of Black criminals. If that could be combined
with incentives for smarter Blacks to reproduce and for
dumber Blacks not to, the Black-White IQ gap and crime
gap could be closed. That would work on any race or
breeding group, it’s simply selective breeding. To be fair,
the same should be applied to Whites (all races, really)
but the punishment of criminality would hit Blacks hardest
and impact that breeding pool more than other races. I
doubt we’d do such a thing here. China, on the other hand
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/08/03/china.dna.children.ability/
Ok, let’s say for argument’s sake the ancient Egyptians in all of their glory were black, and all credit should go to the Black African community and their ancestors across the globe for the advancements and all that culture gave the world. I have no idea if true or not, matters not to me, I am willing to say that unless you prove otherwise, it could be and it even makes sense to me.
There you go.
Take it.
Got it??
Ok. Keep it, savor it, hold it, own it.
Now I remind you that that glory and culture was built on the blood, sweat and toil of Hebrew
Drum roll….
SLAVES. oooh I said the bad word.
If you want to take credit for the glory then also take credit for the crime. I really cannot stand to listen to the plight of the modern day black man who has freedom, every opportunity and then some, plus opportunities and perks that everyone else does not have, complain to me that all of their problems stem from Whitey who represents a small population of Southern White idiots who kept slaves 200 years ago.
Don’t get high and mighty on me, (who happens to be a white YANKEE who did not have anyone come to America until 1920 and who had nothing to do with slavery and wouldn’t have if it was offered) and act like you are all above and beyond reproach and that all of your problems are my fault.
Look back to that glorious African past and see exactly where the slaves came from, who held them and who sold them to whom. Maybe the Jews should start beefing about how life stinks for them ever since they were whipped into building the black man’s pyramids. I think you should start taking up a collection now to cover the restitution owed. There are a lot of Jews you know…
Still wanna take credit for ancient Egypt? Go ahead. But think first – In exchange for the glory, you might have to give up your victim cause. Hmmm – which will you choose???
The only people that came up the colors lines are “white” people. What is a white or black person any way??? I am not one of the colors in the crayola box. I am an American like any other American born in this country. In Egypt, they were Egyptians not white or black or yellow or red. You had royalty, workers and slaves. But they were all shapes and colors mixed together. The mind set of what skin tone you are have become more annoying as we evolve as people. How about focusing more energy to finding a cure for cancer, AIDS, or feeding hungry children.
So why dont you name some things that black people did invent, instead of bieng so critical. Can you do that?
If you want to see photos of statues and art work of the
Ancient Egyptians, go here:

You will find page after page of photos and comments.
Black? I think not.
The white Egyptians vanished about 800 BC.
Among the problems with Afrocentrists is that they often overstate their case. Nonetheless, there is truth in their assertions. The problem with the Afrocentrists and Eurocentrists is the assumption that Egypt was a society based on American notions of race and an apartheid system that prevent racial miscegenation. If we assume American standards of race, then, the Egyptians would be largely “black,” just as Obama, Halle Berry, Lisa Bonet (of the Cosby Show) and Slash (of Guns and Roses) are all considered to be “black.”
It’s enough to merely google images: “Egyptian children,” and one sees what happens when Halle Berry looking people have children with Derek Jeter looking people. The Egyptians have been an intermixture of people for centuries (millenia). The problem here is that when white folks use the term “black,” they are assuming one is talking about someone who looks like Wesley Snipes, when in reality, by American standards, people the color of Jasmine Guy are also considered “black.” Many black people, such as, many of the Ethiopians and Somalis do NOT have what white people would think of as “typical black features.” It is common to find them with “wavy” (by white standards) hair, and they often have thin noses. The Ancient Egyptians were a mixture of various races–with a strong black African element–and by American standards such people are considered to be “black.”
Swarth Moor writes:
“Many black people, such as, many of the Ethiopians and Somalis do NOT have what white people would think of as “typical black features.” ”
That’s understood by HBD advocates, and even by soldiers in our military who referred to the Somalis as “skinnies”
(shades of Robert Heinlein!) and by anyone who’s seen
Ethiopians, Eritreans, Sudanese, …
“The Ancient Egyptians were a mixture of various races–with a strong black African element–and by American standards such people are considered to be “black.””
That’s the issue being discussed, and your assertion does
not make it so, any more than the assertion of Nordicists
that all the great ancient cultures were Nordic makes it
so. No doubt the Egyptians had Black (and Hebrew) slaves,
but I believe the purpose of claiming the Ancient Egyptians
as ones’ own is to claim their achievements, so Black and
Hebrew slaves in Egypt don’t count for that purpose.
I don’t have a dog in this fight, and I’ll accept that the
Ancient Egyptians were Black if someone comes up with
a credible argument using the available evidence; pictures,
written histories, etc. So far, I’m not convinced. From what
I can see of the Copts, while they wouldn’t pass for Nordic,
they don’t appear to have a large amount of Black in their
ancestry.
Animus,
I’m not a Afrocentric fanatic; i’m just trying to provide a balanced perspective. By American standards (and i am not asserting they are universal or correct–i’m just trying to be consistent), many Egyptians would be classified as “mulatto” (i.e. black). There was, at least to my knowledge, no system of rigid racial discrimination in Ancient Egypt–consequently, many Egyptians who don’t appear to be very “black” would also have some black blood in them. Hence, by American standards, they, too, would be considered “black.”
The situation is further compounded by the fact that many different nations and peoples have occupied and emigrated to Egypt (Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Turks and those under their domain, etc.). In spite of all the influx of fairer skinned people over the past 2,300 years, the Egyptians still look like this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/39959000/jpg/_39959188_egyptkids200.jpg
If anything, the people of Egypt have been getting lighter over the past couple of millenia.
Like i said, it’s enough to google: “Egyptian kids” and one gets a pretty good idea of the kind of “complexion” and “racial” diversity there. I think the problem for both the Afrocentrists and their opponents is that they attempt to project American ideas of race and identity upon people who did not share those notions. They assume that a racial apartheid system is the norm, when the fact of the matter is that the Egyptians have been mixing complexions for eons. As a result of the mixing, you end up with a nation of Derek Jeter/Halle Berry looking people.
