All black politicians support illegal immigration, which is obviously harmful to their constituents. Mexicans are prime competition for blacks at low levels, and as soon as they are legalized, will become competition for the same government jobs that keep the black middle class in existence.
The “hardworking Mexicans” are forced to be hardworking by the lack of welfare or government jobs, and by having to outcompete legal workers. I have no doubt that once they are eligible for welfare, sitting on their ass will become far more preferable to picking fruit in 95 degree heat for $5 an hour.
Once welfare rolls expand (almost definitely to levels above those seen prior welfare reform), there will be enough political and fiscal pressure to cut the programs poor blacks are so dependent on.
No matter how many NAMs this country will have, the parasites will be outnumbered by taxpayers who will vote and will donate more money to political campaigns.
Taxpayers will not allow insane levels of spending on others’ bastards. It’s one thing to be compassionate when minorities were 12%, as in the 60’s. It’s another to have to support 30% of the population.
Talk of an anti-white coalition is just that – talk. Mexicans hate blacks and will use violence to get rid of them. Blacks have no love lost for Mexicans either. Both groups, in private interactions, prefer whites to each other.
As Mexicans grow in numbers and power, they will most certainly turn on the blacks in the halls of Congress just as they have on the streets of South Central.
Mexican immigration and the subsequent amnesty is nothing but bad news for black folks. But their politicians, including the mega-powerful chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee congressman Charlie Rangel, have a near-perfect record of support for illegals.
The one explanation I can think of is that even though it harms the constituents in the long-term, this is beneficial to politicians right now and they know they won’t be around in a dozen years when the chickens come home to roost.
Rangel and co. stick with the party line that harms their people because party unity allows them to get promotions to more powerful committees.
Black pols are throwing their people under the demographic bus just their white counterparts are doing.
Ultimately having another minority group that is more numerous, more powerful and personally hostile to you just isn’t a good idea.

Something is in the water in DC and I would like to know what causes leaders to undermine their own base.
Any group that sees itself as nonwhite or separate from most whites (like Jews) perceive that they have an interest in bringing down whites, as long as whites are in the majority. Whites controlled the world for quite a while (depending on how you count it). Nonwhites and Jews fear and resent the power that whites have had over them and want to keep the scam of white guilt going for as long as possible, at least while whites are still in the majority.
One of the meanings I see in the slogan “diversity is strength” is that when whites are a minority they will be contained as a threat to nonwhites. Blacks and Hispanics may not get along so well, but at least with power divided between a number of different racial and ethnic groups it is more difficult for one group to dominate all of the other groups.
30% of the population is too low. NYT reported half of all six yr olds are not white. And that was three years ago. My guess is mestizos make up 25% of high school students/that age range.
Blacks are very powerful members of the Democratic coalition but they are not the only members. Black politicians have to play ball with the others and immigration is an extremely important thing to the left.
GW, are you *sure* taxpayers are going to continue to outnumber parasites? If you define parasites broadly, to include not only the benefits receivers themselves but the government employees, lawyers, human resource managers, health care administrators and all the others who live indirectly off the system, it’s over 50% now, and Obama has his permanent majority.

It’s funny that you should put it that way. Right now we don’t treat the elderly like parasites, because they contributed to this country’s growth even though the social security system is poorly designed.
However, I’ve often thought that this might change when the labor force is less than 50% white and the social security set is still 80% white. White people have mostly been compliant as the government has required constantly increasing transfer payments to nonwhites, but I seriously doubt that the Mexican labor force of the future will want to pay for retired gringos. I wish that the current trendy liberal bobo set would figure this out. The Mexicans aren’t going to care whether you voted for amnesty or not – they’re just going to see a bunch of obsolete elderly white people as a drain on Aztlan.

I just posted on a very similar issue, though it was in regards to liberal politicians.
From my analysis, I concluded that blacks have almost no power whatsoever. In states where they have very large populations, almost all the whites are strong conservatives. In many states where they have medium populations, the whites have a lot of liberals amongst them who vote for black causes. In these medium black states, black numbers alone would not be sufficient to constitute a large enough voting bloc.
Basically, due to their population density amongst certain states and how our voting system works, blacks have no independent national power. They can only achieve political power by recruiting sympathetic whites.

The very basis of the Democratic Party, long before Black folk came along, which was less than a half century ago, is broad-based coalition building. Almost from day one it had to deal w/differing contituencies. Also, the Deep Southern states-where most Black folk still live-also have something else in common. They were all virulently racist, first as Dixiecrats, then after the Southern Strategy, as Republicans.
Now, I get your and Sailer’s argument-that the more Whites live in close proximity w/Blacks, the more likely they are to vote along Conservative lines; the less likely they are to live among Blacks, the more likely they are to vote along Liberal lines. I get it.
BUT, you see, the problem comes in, like this-the Washington metro area is full of Black people-so is Maryland, Virginia, etc. Yet White folk there vote Democratic, and in many cases have for more than a century (Baltimore, for example). Any GOP action that goes down there is more of a fluke if anything.
Same deal w/places like New Haven CT, and so on. Here in Philly, which is roughly half White, they still vote Democratic and are fairly Liberal.
You know OneSTDV, you seem like a good guy. But your biggest problem from where I sit?-its your very bad habit of relying on raw “data” and not on actually putting your feet on the ground to see things for yourself and to be able to put things into their proper context. As is so often the case with you my friend, you tend to see the world through a keyhole, instead of through a door.

Gosh, this is a real poser!
Let me toss out a “thought for the day”.
Politicians are, ACROSS THE BOARD, an amoral bunch. They’d pimp their mom for a dime to stay on the gravy train once they get there!! Politics is a parasitic culture all it’s own. It survives at the expense of a host population regardless of the political system. It is the hateful core, the essence of all governments: Democracy, Theocracy, Monarchy, Despotic, etc!
Maybe that Soetoro guy and his gang are doing the country a favor by bustin’ the bank. Once the country is broke and welfare vanishes, we’ll see who’ll survive.
I suspect that the US will still be a black and white country, but with better, stronger people on both sides.
Lawyers, HR, etc certainly don’t see themselves as parasites but as taxpayers. Neither do the elderly who paid into the SS system all their lives.
Even a welfare recepient who worked all his life, but needs help for 1-2 months, doesn’t see himself as a parasite, and frankly, I agree.
By parasites, I meant lifetime welfare. Even among blacks, parasites are maybe 20%. no matter what, if welfare rolls swell up, there will be a majority against it.

My quick take is that black politicians play a convoluted version of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’. Relative to each other (enemies), Latinos and whites are the friends of blacks, only blacks can’t have it both ways and be effective. But of course, blacks and whites are enemies foremost. And then there’s the additional logical extension, ‘the friend of my friend is my friend’. Blacks and legal immigrants (esp. Latinos) have a historical love/suspicious alignment that extends errantly to illegals by virtue of slavery. Now there’s some brain damage for you. Time for an espresso.
I don’t have much to add here, but if you’d like some more specifics on how black members of Congress vote on immigration, I collected their ABI report card data.

Well, I wouldn’t phase it that way. At the top levels of politics, I’m sure the coalition is alive and well. Hispanics voted against McCain in huge numbers, correct? At the “street level”, you are quite correct.

I think one powerful motive that drives the blacks to favor Mexicans and other Hispanic immigrants is largely based on the myth of non-white solidarity. According to this theory, all of the black/brown/red/yellow people of the world have been the perpetual victims of white bigotry and abuse down through history and therefore share a common ground as the oppressed ones at the hands of the blue-eyed devil Europeans. As such, Encouraging Mexican immigration will speed up a diminishing of the white majority and supposedly give more power to blacks and the other groups.
But as has already been mentioned on this post, the Mexicans and other Latin groups actually hate the blacks, generally speaking. I will add that Hispanics cannot be guilt manipulated and enervated by the never ending ancestral-white-slave-owner-oppressor-complex. And they have their own agenda based on their own version of racial pride. The last time I checked, La Raza has not invited Africans to become honorary members of their movement.
On the street level, the blacks fear the Latin Americans because the Hispanics have little to no fear of them — they are cut form the same cloth in that they are from the lower classes and are ready to fight and kill. And when they move up in society to the middle class and grab for more political power (as we see happening in Los Angeles with Mexicans), they are not likely to share it with blacks.
Just as with the myth of Pan-Africanism (brotherhood of all members of the black race irrespective of ethnic differences), the failure of non-white unity among “people of color” (as with Jesse Jackson’s “Rainbow Coalition”) will eventually turn out to be a rude awakening for future Africans in this country.

Look up Politic (-s) (-ian) (-al) in most any dictionary and note two things: The word politic itself is usually used in the “definition”, and many if not most of the “definitions” have a negative connotation!
I suggest this definition:
politician – The consummate solipsist.
The practice of politics, principles and methods, does not have “race” associated peculiarities. It’s always a matter of forming opportunistic, if not parasitic, alliances.
Blacks do not sell out “theirs” any more than whites or any other “race” for that matter, and the reasons are always the same.
If blacks can’t get along with whites and each other then it’s a sure bet they won’t be able to get along with Mexicans, either.
Pols live by campaigns & contributions. I think they’re probably getting more money from special interests who use cheap immigrant labor than from those who oppose it.
All one has to do is look at Brazil to see what the future holds. The pecking order will remain the same, only everyone will be worse off.
The age-old pesky U.S.-Mexico border problem has taxed the resources of both countries, led to long lists of injustices, and appears to be heading only for worse troubles in the future. Guess what? The border problem can never be solved. Why? Because the border IS the problem! It’s time for a paradigm change.
Never fear, a satisfying, comprehensive solution is within reach: the Megamerge Dissolution Solution. Simply dissolve the border along with the failed Mexican government, and megamerge the two countries under U.S. law, with mass free 2-way migration eventually equalizing the development and opportunities permanently, with justice and without racism, and without threatening U.S. sovereignty or basic principles.

I hope this is tongue in cheek. So to prevent ‘unjust’ poverty — all US citizens should just redistribute their wealth and citizenship to 100m more people — so they can spend the next 3 decades being told they need more ‘reforms’ to ‘confront’ the resulting ethnic disparities. We can then have more ‘wars on drugs’ ‘wars on poverty’ ‘wars on “racism”‘ — all while the counry as a whole declines. There are at least 600m poor Chinese suffering from this same injustice of disparity — why be so localist and prefer those next door? If they agree to buy a plane ticket will that change things? Better yet, if that if equalizing is your dream, why not YOU just cut a check and mail it off the the Mexican Gov yourself? Or even better relocate. Then I can be free to mail mine to where I want.
And what exactly are the injustices you are referring to? That this transfer has not already happened? Or is resisted? I trust you apply this on a personal level; but if not, perhaps you would be willing to rectify any unjust disparities in our respective bank accounts with a check made out to me? Based on what little I can lose, this seems only fair.
If you are not Mexican, have Mexican relatives, or run a business which serves Mexicans, you’re an idiot. If you are go try this line on some liberals, they likely will buy it.
