Prozium just claimed that 150,000 Jews donated an average of $11,000 to Presidential candidates last year.
The problem is that the most one person can donate to a candidate is $2,300.
The way that some people go around this is by acting as “bundlers”. Bundlers get a few people to donate through them, and as a result get special privileges.
It would be completely irrational for someone to act as a bundler (which involves donating thousands of your own money, plus arm-twisting your friends) if there is an army of 150,000 bundlers.
McCain had 1,836 people give $25k.
Obama had 2,205 people give $25k.
Together, it’s 4,041 people, a far cry from 150,000 Prozium suggested among Jews only. Granted it’s people who gave $25k+, but the number of those who gave $11-24k should be similar, maybe just slightly more. (Could be less because mega-donors get special privileges, but if you are in that middle ground, you give a lot, but get nothing.)
Even if it’s 10,000 people who gave $11k each, that’s far short of 150,000.
And obviously many bundlers aren’t Jewish. I see names like Canizaro, Collins, Johnson, etc. on the list. There are some Jews too, of course, and they are overrepresented, as would be expected of a highly successful population. (The point isn’t that Jews aren’t overrepresented, but rather that they do not have a total hegemony over our government.)
Anyone with any common sense would know that nobody would donate huge amounts if you were one of several hundred thousand people. The whole point of being a bundler is to be in a small, elite group which has special privileges.
Prozium keeps not addressing one issue: there aren’t as many big donors as would be needed for the tiny Jewish population to donate half the money or even a quarter of the money.
This is my main point and it’s completely ignored by him. He keeps arguing that Jews donated even more money to charity, so it’s possible that they donated as much to politics. But the Jewish contribution to charity is only 2% of the total, so it proves nothing.
The problem isn’t that Jews couldn’t possibly all send thousands to politicians. It’s that there aren’t that many big donors. They just don’t exist.
Thus, he comes up with 150,000 bundlers, 100% of whom are Jewish, when the reality is that there were only a few thousand of them, and many were Gentile.
Without an army of 150,000 Jewish bundlers, Prozium would need 717,000 Jews to donate the maximum $2,300 (plus they would also have to donate thousands more to the Parties, to Congressional candidates, and candidates on state and local level). That would mean that 1 out of 5 Jews who are adults and US citizens would have to donate the maximum to the Presidential campaign.
Only 0.26% of Americans donated $200, but 20% of Jews would have to donate $2,300 to the Presidential candidates. Is that believable?
(I bet 20% of Jewish adults don’t even watch CNN/MSNBC/FoxNews. If they did, half the audience of those TV channels would be Jewish.)
His math is based on 10% of Jewish millionaires donating tens of thousands of dollars. He came up with this number out of nowhere. So the question is: if 10% of Jewish millionaires donate, shouldn’t we expect the same number of Gentile ones to do so as well?
There are 4 times more Gentiles millionaires, so why is it that we expect all the major donations come strictly from Jews? That’s exactly what I mean when I say that he’s deranged. Why would 10% of well-off Jews donate money, but not a similar percentage of Gentiles in the same financial class? How do you expect 10% of Jewish millionaires to donate, while at the same time expecting nearly-0% of Gentile millionaires to do so?
It seems to me you’re spending too much time and energy on this “Prozium” kook. I’m familiar with a bunch of internet anti-semites but have thankfully never heard of or read him. That said, you’re doing a marvelous job of debunking a whole slew of anti-semitic fallacies.
===================
GW: You are right. Unfortunately, I let this become a personal thing between me and him. I will move on to my other points. You just can’t prove some things to some people, and I shouldn’t have even tried, and worse, I allowed myself to get dragged into a personal fight.
Ponzium??
I agree with green mamba,
People’s beliefs whether rational or not are going to continue to seek out info that supports their “truth.” I am sure if I believed that the Jews are responsible for the chaos in N. Korea or the Congo Republic, I bet I could find research and articles to support this claim. Does it make it true? Nope, but thats how people’s minds tend to work against certain races or groups of people.
Jews, Christians, Muslims, Athiest, Women, Men, Blacks, Whites, Poor, Middle, Rich, Confused, Liberal, Independent, Republican (yes, I knew a few), Intelligent, Dumb gave money for the presidential election for Obama. Why than single out the Jews, ahh stereotype. They got their funds through campaigning on the streets in large cities and all of these groups live in large cities around the US. Stratedgy and Social Networking!!!
“Why than single out the Jews, ahh stereotype. ”
To be fair, the stereotype does have some truth to it. Jews do give more money per person than others. Asians give more money than Whites. Whites more than non-Asian minorities.
Wait, where did I hear this one before: Jews > Asians > White Gentiles > Hispanics > Blacks. Oh, I heard it everywhere.
Political donations are a high IQ endeavor. Sure, some dumb people give money to politicians, but the average IQ of a donor is very high (otherwise, where would he get the money? It’s not as if drug-dealers donate to Congressmen.)
The problem here is that the AS exaggerate the degree of Jewish donations to a ridiculous degree.
It’s like someone hearing that blacks commit more crime, and then going out and arguing that all blacks are criminals. It’s a ridiculous statement. Similarly, that Jews donate more money per person than others doesn’t mean they donate most of the money and control our government.
Well..than that means whites (non Jews) need to donate more money to congress. I know when I donate money, I want to know how and what it is used for. So you take an interest or make an investement in how you donate your money. Simple common sense, right!
